"Passion's Flow" by Odette Grassi
Passion’s Flow
Let me run. Let me play.
Let me skip and slide and spin,
Arms flung abroad, releasing caution astray.
With passion’s flow let the sailing breeze unleash exhilaration.
Expressive desire – soft, supple, reflectively bright.
The glistenings of life unquenched and undenied.
Joyful abandon suffuses my dreams,
Giving hope the power of angels’ broad wings.
Whatever the challenges, whatever the chances,
Let energy gather now amongst my prayers.
Let me run. Let me play.
Let my passions flow.

“Radiate (Shine As You Are)” by Katherine Jo Cain
Katherine is a recent graduate from the University of Montana with a B.F.A. in Photography. She now creates sculpture and fashion and teaches art to all ages. Katherine is working toward a degree in Art Therapy. With this piece, a tiara made to radiate, she wants to send the message that we are all worthy of shining and celebrating ourselves, just we are.

“Water for Boston Terriers” by Liz Dye
A dear friend of mine, Mattie, has two dogs Betsy and Bogart. I dog-sat them once and they were pretty good considering. Betsy was featured in my TLS marionette piece a few years ago, as a circus dog on a ball with a party hat. I felt that this go around, I should include Bogart in my piece, as I would hate for him to feel left out... He seems like he might be kind of crabby about stuff like that. Anyway, if you look at the piece, that would be Bogart on the left, jumping through the hoop. My rendition of Bogart turned out pretty well actually. I think it captures his attitude, sort of bratty and sort of sweet at the same time. After I finished the piece, I was really having a hard time with a title. Mattie suggested “Water for Boston Terriers”. It's a take off of “Water for Elephants”, by Sara Gruen. If you haven't read that book, you might give it a whirl. It's great.
